General Rental Agreement
Deposit: A 25% non-refundable
deposit is required at time of reservation to guarantee a reservation.
This deposit will be applied towards the rental fee. Any remaining
fees that are due must be paid one month in advance of the scheduled
rental. (Salt Lake County Refund Policy #1205)
A $300 damage/cleaning deposit is required, and
will be refunded if the building is left undamaged and clean, as
determined by Wheeler Farm Staff. If the deposit is paid by check
or cash, it will take four to six weeks to be refunded by Salt Lake
County. If paid by Visa or MasterCard, you will need to call in
the afternoon of the next working day and give your card # for the
refund. The user assumes the responsibility and liability for injury
to persons or damage to property.
Clean up: All areas used
must be returned to the conditions and order they were in before
scheduled use. All litter, trash, and garbage must be deposited
in the dumpsters outside the building. All spills must be wiped
up immediately. Wheeler Farm is not responsible for any equipment,
supplies, or other property left on the premises. Cleaning equipment
is located in the cleaning closet between the restrooms East of
the kitchen. (See the museum attendant for assistance and to sign
off for your refund).
Supervision: A responsible
adult must be identified to the Museum Attendant on duty. Responsible
supervision includes having a supervisory person at Wheeler Farm
before the group arrives and must confine the group to the reserved
area so as not to disturb others. Persons identified as supervisors
will be held responsible for the behavior of all those participating
in their activity. They will see that their group abides with all
the policies, local and state laws; and they will take action to
correct any problem, which may arise. If problems persist, the Museum
Attendant will take steps to correct the problem, including if necessary
notifying the police and/or terminating the event in progress.
Wheeler Farm Policies
Pease read and go over this with your decorator.
Decorations: Please use
self-standing decorations and decorations that may be tied to the
building. Prohibited are: nails, tape, glue, staples, or other devices
that will mark or leave holes and damage the building. Fire code
prohibits the use of candles and hay as decorations. No modifications
may be made to the Activity Barn structure, electrical systems or
equipment. Exhibits and Displays are not to be moved, altered, or
changed in any manner.
No Alcohol: Beer and liquor
are prohibited on Wheeler Historic Farm property including the Activity
Barn. (Salt Lake County Code ad Ordinances Sec. 86.20.350)
No Smoking: Smoking in
the Activity Barn and all other buildings is prohibited. (Utah Indoor
Clean Air Act). Please use smoking areas provided outside the building
exits.
